Russian Airstrike Leaves One Dead, Over Twenty Injured in Ukraine

(MENAFN) At least one person has died and 28 others were wounded following a Russian drone attack on the central Ukrainian city of Dnipro, regional authorities confirmed Tuesday.

Serhiy Lysak, head of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Military Administration, reported via Telegram that 12 of the injured have been hospitalized. The remaining victims are being treated at home.

The assault caused multiple injuries, including shrapnel wounds, bruises, and lacerations. Fires erupted across parts of the city in the aftermath of the strike.

“All services are working. They are overcoming the consequences of the enemy strike,” Lysak said.

Later the same evening, Russian forces allegedly shelled the Pokrovska community in the Nikopol district using heavy artillery, according to the regional governor. Additional attacks involving guided aerial bombs and FPV drones targeted the Pokrovska and Mezhivska communities in the Synelnyky district, damaging at least one private home.

Russia has not yet issued a response to the allegations.
