I am a Modern British historian and curator currently based at the Bodleian Libraries, University of Oxford. She specialises in the history of Britain's Cold War and social and ethnographic research methods.
I passed my AHRC Collaborative Doctoral Award PhD (University of Strathclyde and IWM, London) with no corrections – illustrating my expertise in the field and my ability to maintain high-quality, funded outputs. My research was the first oral history of everyday life in Cold War Britain; it inter-linked international and military histories with cultural and social studies of post-war Britain to investigate civilian experiences of the Cold War between 1945 and 1962. I applied emotions, cultural and oral history methods to my analysis, combining a large-scale oral history project with archival research.
