Korean Illini Piano Trio Performs Beethoven, Tchaikovsky At Al Hussein Cultural Center

Amman, Sep. 30 (Petra) – The Korean musical group Illini Piano Trio presented an evening of international classical music at the Al Hussein Cultural Center Theater on Monday evening.
Organized by the Korean Embassy in Amman in cooperation with the Greater Amman Municipality, the event was attended by Korean Ambassador to Jordan Kim Pil-woo and a number of foreign ambassadors.
The performance opened with Ludwig van Beethoven's Piano Trio in D Major (Ghost), featuring three movements: a graceful and lively first movement, a slow and expressive second, and a fast-paced finale.
The second part of the evening showcased Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky's Piano Trio in A Minor, performed in two movements. The first, a romantic and melancholic piece, highlighted a cello-led melody culminating in a funeral procession motif. The second movement, performed at a moderate tempo with a finale of rapid variations, concluded the evening.
The ensemble comprises pianist Hyeyeon Jung, violinist Chukyung Park, and cellist Seungwon Chung.
