Moldova Counts 100% Of Votes Sandu's Party Wins
Thus, three parties and two blocs will enter the new parliament.
As noted, the Action and Solidarity Party (PAS) received a total of 50.2% of the vote. In second place is the pro-Russian Patriotic Electoral Bloc (24.17%), followed by the Alternative Bloc (7.96%). Also entering parliament are the Eurosceptic Our Party (6.20%) and the pro-European Democracy at Home Party (5.62%).
Other parties and independent candidates failed to clear the electoral threshold, as they received less than 1% of the vote.
Voter turnout stood at 52.21%.
On September 29, President Maia Sandu held a press conference dedicated to the parliamentary elections held the previous day. She thanked citizens for participating in the vote, emphasizing that every ballot mattered.
“We showed the whole world that we are a country of brave and dignified people. We did not succumb to bribery, threats, or intimidation, but united and defended our country through fair voting... Yesterday and throughout the campaign, we demonstrated that we know how to stand together when the future of our country is at stake,” Sandu declared.

“This is the country's victory. And this victory must be used for the benefit of all citizens, regardless of whom they voted for. Moldova is our common home, and we all want the same thing: to live in peace, in freedom, to give our children a safe future here at home. The shortest path to these goals is the European path,” the head of state stressed.
She also pointed out that throughout the entire pre-election period, the Kremlin“tried to divide citizens and undermine their faith.”
“This campaign showed that we do have vulnerabilities, but we also have strong institutions and people dedicated to their mission. In these elections, we saw that society and state institutions have become more resilient. But we still have much work to do,” Sandu said.
According to the President, the next step must be judicial reform.
“In a democracy, society lives by the law, and the law must apply equally to all. We must finally eradicate this shameful phenomenon of vote-buying, first and foremost by punishing everyone who organized such schemes and lured people into these traps. Political parties must strictly comply with the provisions of the law on financing. Combating disinformation is more difficult, but here too solutions must be found,” the Moldovan President added.
