UAE, Egypt Presidents Welcome US Pres. Initiative To End War In Gaza

CAIRO, Sept 29 (KUNA) - Egyptian President Abdulfattah Al-Sisi and UAE's President Sheikh Mohammad bin Zayed Al-Nahyan expressed, Monday, their support for the initiative proposed by US President Donald Trump aimed at halting the war in Gaza.
Both leaders stressed the importance of this peace initiative in paving the way toward achieving a lasting and comprehensive peace in the region.
Egyptian Presidential Spokesman Ambassador Mohammad Al-Shennawy said in a statement that the remarks came during a meeting between President Al-Sisi and President Sheikh Mohammad in Cairo, held as part of ongoing consultations and close coordination between the two countries' leaderships. The talks focused on regional developments, particularly the situation in Gaza.
President Al-Sisi reaffirmed the Egyptian-Emirati bilateral relations, praising the notable progress in cooperation across various sectors, especially in trade and investment, and underlined Egypt's commitment to removing any obstacles facing Emirati investments, commending the significant growth in bilateral economic ties.
On his part, Sheikh Mohammad bin Zayed lauded the remarkable improvement in Egypt's investment climate, noting that it reflects the country's efforts to enhance the business environment and attract further foreign investment. (end)
