Zelenskyy, Danish PM Hold Phone Talks on Security, European Summit

(MENAFN) Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy held a crucial phone conversation with Danish Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen on Friday, ahead of next week's European Political Community Summit in Denmark. The call centered on pressing security concerns and bolstering cooperative efforts between their countries.

According to Zelenskyy, the leaders coordinated their schedules for upcoming partner meetings and discussed key aspects of the summit's preparations. In addition, they reviewed troubling reports about drones entering Danish airspace on three separate occasions this week.

Zelenskyy shared details from Ukrainian intelligence on the incidents, emphasizing the shared understanding between Kyiv and Copenhagen. He pointed out that both nations recognize the need for closer coordination and a ramped-up defense production strategy in response to the escalating security challenges.

"Any challenge can be overcome through cooperation," Zelenskyy concluded, underscoring the importance of continued partnership in the face of rising threats.
