Kuwait Has Rendered Woman Empowerment Basis For Development -- Ambassador

(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) NEW YORK, Sept 26 (KUNA) -- The State of Kuwait Ambassador to the United States of America, Sheikha Al-Zain Al-Sabah, on Friday, said Kuwait has rendered the woman empowerment a basis for development.
Sheikh Al-Zain was speaking as she chaired the Kuwaiti delegation partaking in the senior-level meeting of the 30th anniversary of the Fourth World Conference on Women, held on sidelines of the high-ranking week of the United Nations General Assembly's 80th session.
The year 2025 witnessed eminent events, such as the Kuwaiti women enrolment in the Army, the Fire Force and the Coast Guard, in addition to the expanding presence in the police and leadership posts, thus mirroring Kuwait's deep advocacy of the woman's role for attaining peace and sustainable development, she said.
These accomplishments came as a translation of the State of Kuwait's deep faith in the basic woman role for building a coherent society and attaining full-fledged development at the regional and international levels, the envoy added (end)
