Kuwait's Qadsiya Defeats Syria's Homs Al-Fidaa In Arab Club Basketball Opener

DUBAI, Sept 25 (KUNA) -- Kuwait's Qadsiya Basketball Club secured a strong start in the 37th Arab Club Basketball Championship, defeating Syria's Homs Al-Fidaa 88-77 in the opening match held Thursday in Dubai.
The game was marked by high intensity and close competition, with both teams exchanging leads throughout. Qadsiya ultimately pulled ahead in the final minutes, sealing the win with an 11-point margin.
This year's tournament features 16 teams, including recent additions Al-Hikma of Lebanon and Bahrain's Al-Manama.
Other participants include Al-Arabi and Al-Rayyan (Qatar), Kuwait SC, Kazma, Qadsiya (Kuwait), Al-Wehda and Homs Al-Fidaa (Syria), Shaab Hadramout and Al-Mina'a (Yemen), Al-Bashaer and Al-Seeb (Oman), Antonine (Lebanon), Ahli Tripoli (Libya), and host club Al-Nasr (UAE). (end)
