Transport Minister Reviews Amman Civil Airport Licensing Process

Amman, Sept. 24 (Petra) – Minister of Transport Nidal Qatamin on Wednesday chaired a meeting with stakeholders on the Amman Civil Airport/Marka file to review licensing procedures.
They reviewed civil aviation security requirements, facility upgrades, passenger lounge services, and safety and inspection systems in line with international standards.
The meeting was attended by Chief Commissioner of the Civil Aviation Regulatory Commission (CARC) Haitham Misto, representatives of the Jordan Airports Company (JAC), and other relevant authorities.
Qatamin stressed the need to accelerate work to prepare the airport for licensing and operation, noting its role in enhancing the efficiency of the air transport system and strengthening Jordan's regional status.
He said the Ministry is in coordination with CARC, JAC, and all partners to ensure the airport meets technical and security requirements according to the highest global standards, serving the public interest and improving passenger services.
