Unmanned Systems Forces Strike Saratov And Novokuybyshevsk Oil Refineries

(MENAFN- UkrinForm) According to Ukrinform, the General Staff reported on Facebook .

During the night of 20 September, units of the Unmanned Systems Forces, in coordination with other Defense Forces components and under the General Staff's overall command, struck the Saratov Oil Refinery (Saratov, Saratov region, Russia).

This refinery accounts for approximately 2.54% of Russia's total oil processing capacity (over 7 million tonnes of crude annually).

Explosions and a large-scale fire were confirmed at the target site. Final assessments of the damage are pending.

Also on 20 September, units of the Unmanned Systems Forces struck the Novokuybyshevsk Oil Refinery (Novokuybyshevsk, Samara region, Russia).

The Novokuybyshevsk refinery processes more than 8.8 million tonnes of crude oil annually.

Preliminary reports indicate explosions and fires at the facility; details are being clarified.

In addition, Ukraine's Special Operations Forces hit a mainline transport infrastructure facility - the Samara linear production and dispatch station (LPDS) in Prosvet, Samara region.

This LPDS is a production station where high- and low-sulphur crude from different fields is blended to form the Urals export grade (up to 50% of Russia's total oil exports).

Damage assessments are ongoing.

All of the affected facilities are involved in supplying the Russian Armed Forces.

Ukraine's Defense Forces continue to systematically implement measures aimed at reducing the military-economic potential of the aggressor state - in particular by degrading Russia's logistics in the oil-refining sector and disrupting the systems that supply the Russian military with fuel and lubricants, the General Staff emphasized.
