KWFF Returns With 5th Edition This November

Srinagar- The Kashmir World Film Festival (KWFF) has announced the dates for its much-awaited 5th edition, set to take place from November 1 to November 7, 2025, in Srinagar.
The week-long celebration of cinema is expected to draw filmmakers, industry experts, and audiences from across the globe to the heart of the Kashmir Valley, according to festival founder Mushtaaque A Khan.

Since its launch in 2017, KWFF has grown into a major cultural platform, spotlighting both international cinema and emerging Kashmiri voices. This milestone edition will feature an expanded lineup, including feature films, documentaries, animation, experimental works, and student films. Alongside screenings, the festival will host workshops, panel discussions, cultural programs, and an awards ceremony, he said.

According to Khan, the festival will place special emphasis on regional cinema, dedicating separate days to women-centric films and children's films. Organizers also promise a showcase of films shot in Kashmir, underscoring the Valley's cinematic appeal.

KWFF has steadily built its reputation over the years. Previous editions attracted over 15,500 attendees and featured films from 15 countries, including the USA, Italy, Iran, Afghanistan, and South Korea. More than 460 films were submitted, and the event has received extensive media attention, with over 500 national and international mentions.
