Metro Line 3 - IMA Stores Culture: Subjects Of President Mulino's Thursday Press Conference -

(MENAFN- Newsroom Panama) President José Raúl Mulino held his weekly press conference this Thursday, September 18, where he addressed various issues of national interest. The day began with the presentation of a video on the work on Metro Line 3, highlighting the start of operations of the tunnel boring machine that will connect Farfán with Albrook. The president questioned the lack of progress made during the previous administration on projects such as the fourth bridge over the Canal and Line 3 itself. Regarding cultural matters, he announced that the restoration of the Reina Torres de Araúz Museum, a project“abandoned by the previous government,” is now 42% complete.

Mulino also reported that a new Agricultural Marketing Institute (IMA) store will open in San Antonio in October, and that three more are being built in Río Hato, Aguadulce, and Las Tablas. He also confirmed that the IMA will hold its traditional Christmas fairs. In the health sector, the president announced that extraordinary MRI sessions will begin this weekend at the Gustavo Nelson Collado Hospital in Chitré. During the conference, he also announced that Ampyme's“Entrepreneur's Space” program will open new locations in Chiriquí and Azeuro. He also presented the Beatriz Jaén Home, which was remodeled to provide better living conditions for girls without families. Finally, he noted that registration for the“Made in Panama” contest, aimed at promoting domestic production, will be open until September 30.
