I have a BA and MA in English and a PhD in Renaissance Studies. My PhD explored 'Provincial Playing Places and Performances' in Elizabethan and Jacobean England (1559-1625). This included looking at the different kinds of regional spaces in which professional touring players performed (e.g. town halls, inn, country houses, churches).
