Roadside Bomb In Balochistan, Pakistan Kills Five Security Personnel

(MENAFN- Khaama Press) Five Pakistani security personnel, including a local army commander, were killed in a roadside bomb blast during an operation in Balochistan.

Five Pakistani security personnel, including a local army commander, were killed in a roadside bomb blast in Sherband, Kach district of Balochistan, the military confirmed on Monday.

According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the incident occurred while troops were conducting a special operation based on intelligence reports regarding militant presence in the area.

Moments after the explosion, security forces engaged in a fierce exchange of fire with armed militants. The encounter left five insurgents dead, whom officials identified as members of extremist outfits.

The military released the names and ages of the fallen soldiers, noting that they hailed from various provinces of the country. Authorities described their sacrifice as a national loss.

ISPR stressed that despite the tragic incident, counter-insurgency operations in Balochistan will not slow down. Efforts to restore peace and eliminate militant strongholds will be further intensified.

Military officials acknowledged the loss of personnel as a severe blow but underscored that such attacks only strengthen the army's determination to combat terrorism.

Observers note that Balochistan continues to face instability, and while military operations are ongoing, long-term security in the region will also depend on political, social, and developmental measures.
