High-Level Iranian Delegation Arrives In Kabul
KABUL (Pajhwok): A high-ranking Iranian economic and trade delegation led by the country's Minister of Industry, Mines and Trade arrived in Kabul before noon on Monday.
The Afghan Ministry of Industry and Commerce said in a statement that the purpose of the delegation's visit is to identify problems and obstacles to expanding bilateral trade and to facilitate transit and joint investments.
According to the statement, the delegation is scheduled to meet Afghanistan's deputy prime minister for economic affairs, as well as the ministers of industry and commerce, mines and petroleum, and public works of the Islamic Emirate, along with members of Afghanistan's private sector.
The statement added that the Iranian delegation will also travel to Herat province to visit the railway, mines, and the Islam Qala port.
The Ministry of Industry and Commerce wrote that members of Iran's parliament, private sector representatives, and relevant institutions are part of the delegation.
