Qatar Appreciates Int'l Solidarity After Barbaric Israeli Attack On Doha

(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) DOHA, Sept 14 (KUNA) -- Qatari Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Mohammad bin Abdulrahman Al Thani on Sunday expressed his country's appreciation of the international solidarity shown after the "barbaric" attacks by Israeli Occupation forces on the capital Doha.
The Israeli attacks garnered widespread condemnation from the Arab and Islamic world, the Qatari prime minister told a prepratory gathering a day ahead of an emergency Arab-Islamic summit in the Qatari capital, slamming the turn of events as a "flagrant violation" of international laws and principles.
The Israeli air strikes on Doha last Tuesday represent a "dangerous escalation" of violence, he underlined, saying it seriously undermines any effort aiming to bring peace and stability to the wider Middle East region, the minister said.
He lashed out at the temerity of Israeli occupation forces in carrying out the strikes on Doha in "broad daylight," which targeted a residential area dotted with schools and diplomatic missions, an event the Qatari prime minister said can only be described as an "act of terrorism."
The Qatari prime minister castigated the Israeli occupation for its "complete disregard" of international humanitarian laws, which is part of the "extremist ideologies" espoused by the Israeli occupation's government, he added.
Foreign ministers of Arab and Islamic states, including Kuwait's Abdullah Al-Yahya, are due to meet for an emergency summit in Doha on Monday to disucss current developments in the wake of the Israeli occupation's air strikes on Doha. (Pickup previous)
