In Zhytomyr Region Shelling, Victim Toll Climbs To Five, With One Fatality
“As a result of Russian shelling, one person was killed and at least five were injured. Fires broke out in several locations at once,” the report said.
According to rescue workers, residential buildings in the private sector in Zhytomyr have been damaged. A resident with burns of varying degrees was hospitalized but died in the hospital.
Psychologists from the State Emergency Service helped 26 people, including three children.
Rescuers are extinguishing the fires. State Emergency Service sappers are working at the scene. Volunteers from the Ukrainian Red Cross Rapid Response Team have set up a first aid station for the victims.
In addition, shelling in Berdychiv caused a fire in industrial buildings, and fires broke out in the area, damaging a car and a farm building.
“As of now, there are 5 known victims: 4 in Zhytomyr and one in Berdychiv. They have all been taken to medical facilities. All relevant services are working at the scene,” the State Emergency Service reported.
As reported by Ukrinform, as a result of the shelling of the Zhytomyr region by Russian drones and missiles, one person was killed and another was injured.
