Zelensky stressed that such Russian strikes must not be left without an appropriate response from the international community.

A response is needed from the United States. A response is needed from Europe. A response is needed from the G20. Strong actions are needed to make Russia stop bringing death,” he stated.

Vadym Filashkin, head of the Donetsk Regional Military Administration, reported on Telegram that the Russian airstrike on the village of Yarova killed at least 21 people and injured the same number.

“At least 21 people have been killed and another 21 wounded - these are the consequences of the horrific strike on Yarova as of 12:30. The Russians attacked civilians while pensions were being distributed. This is not warfare - this is pure terrorism,” he wrote.

According to Ukrinform, on September 8, Russian forces killed six residents of the Donetsk region and injured ten more.
