Upcycled Jewelry Workshop At Circular Library: Turning Metal Into Meaningful Art

(MENAFN- Market Press Release) September 8, 2025 6:28 am - Discover the art of metalsmithing at Circular Library's Upcycled Jewelry Workshop. Learn to design and solder custom rings with reclaimed wire, blending creativity, sustainability, and craftsmanship.

Venice, CA – September 17, 2025, Wednesday 6:00 PM–8:00 PM - Circular Library continues its mission to merge creativity with sustainability through hands-on learning with the launch of its Upcycled Jewelry Workshop, hosted in partnership with artful moments. Priced at $75, the two-hour experience invites community members to explore the transformative art of metalsmithing while creating custom rings from upcycled artisan jewelry wire.

In an age where fast fashion dominates, this workshop offers a refreshing alternative: a chance to learn traditional techniques that highlight craftsmanship, intentional design, and reuse. Guided by Tracey Nelsen, an accomplished multidisciplinary artist, participants will learn the fundamentals of jewelry-making using sustainable methods. Through professional tools such as a butane torch, soldering kits, and ring mandrels, attendees will not only create jewelry but also experience the meditative and empowering act of working with their hands.

What Participants Can Expect

Hands-on instruction in traditional metalsmithing techniques

The opportunity to design and solder custom-fit rings in silver, brass, and gold

The use of professional tools in a supportive, beginner-friendly environment

The option to purchase soldering kits for continued practice at home

A completed, handmade jewelry piece to take home at the end of the evening

“Upcycling isn't just about repurposing materials-it's about reshaping the way we value them,” said a representative from Circular Library.“This workshop embodies that ethos by teaching participants to turn reclaimed jewelry wire into meaningful, wearable art.”
