Turkey’s official international reserves hit new record
(MENAFN) Türkiye’s official international reserves reached a new all-time high of $178.4 billion as of August 29, the Central Bank reported Thursday. This represents an increase of 1.2%, or $2.03 billion, from the previous week.
While foreign currency reserves in convertible currencies slightly declined by 0.1% to $83.3 billion, gold reserves—including deposits and gold swaps—rose 2.5% to $87.3 billion. Additionally, the country’s total IMF reserve position and special drawing rights grew 0.1% to $7.7 billion.
