Morocco Qualifies For 2026 World Cup

RABAT, Sept 5 (KUNA) -- Morocco officially secured its spot in the 2026 World Cup finals on Friday after defeating Niger with 5-0 in the match held at the Prince Moulay Abdellah Sports Complex in Rabat.
Ismail El Saibari scored two goals in the 29th and 38th minutes; Ayyoub Aboulaaziz scored in the 51st minute; Hamza El Mouchtari scored in the 57th minute; and Azzedine Ounahi scored in the 69th minute.
With this victory, the Atlas Lions raised their tally to 18 points, comfortably ahead of their closest rivals, Tanzania (10 points), booking their seat at the 2026 World Cup which will be held in the United States, Canada, and Mexico. (end)
