Dry Spell In J&K Till Sept 7: Met

Srinagar- Weather conditions across Jammu and Kashmir have improved since yesterday afternoon, bringing relief to residents after days of heavy rainfall and flooding concerns. The Meteorological Department has predicted dry weather in most parts of the region until September 7.

Director of MeT, Dr. Mukhtar Ahmad, said that a brief spell of rain and thunder is expected in a few areas, with moderate showers likely in one or two districts of the Jammu division over the next three days.

Looking ahead, he added that moderate rainfall may occur over select districts of Jammu division on the night of September 8 and the morning of September 9, followed by an improvement in weather conditions.

Additionally, a brief spell of rain and thundershower activity is expected at isolated locations between September 10 and 12.

The improved weather provides temporary relief to flood-affected areas, though authorities continue to monitor rivers, streams, and vulnerable locations for any sudden changes.
