After following a BA in Modern Languages at the University of Birmingham, Chris completed an MA in International Relations and Global Governance at Aston University. After this, he commenced a PhD programme at the same institution, focussing on comparative populisms within Western Europe, with an additional focussed of developing and utilising queered lenses to understand politics.
Outside of academia, Chris is active in the Trade Union movement and Local Government in England.
