Zelensky Outlines Details Of Coalition Of The Willing Meeting: Our Goal Is To End War With Reliable Peace


(MENAFN- UkrinForm) Zelensky said this in a statement on Telegram following the Coalition's meeting, according to Ukrinform.



“We share the same view that Russia is making every effort to drag out the negotiation process and prolong the war. Support for Ukraine must be increased and pressure on Russia must be intensified. Preparations for the 19th EU sanctions package are underway. Japan is also working on sanctions measures,” he wrote.

Zelensky noted that the Coalition of the Willing meeting took place both in person and online, with more than 30 countries participating.



“All united by the same goal: to end this war with a reliable peace and long-term security. We discussed in detail each country's readiness to make a contribution to ensuring security on land, at sea, in the air, and in cyberspace. We coordinated positions and reviewed elements of security guarantees. I am grateful to everyone for understanding that the main security guarantee is a strong Ukrainian army,” he wrote.

The head of state also expressed gratitude for this important work, for the support shown to Ukraine, and for the continued commitment to stand with the country and help protect lives.

“I would like to give special thanks to President Trump for all his efforts to end this war and for America's readiness to provide support to Ukraine on its part,” the President noted.







According to the President's Office , present at the meeting were: President of Finland Alexander Stubb, Prime Minister of Belgium Bart De Wever, Prime Minister of Denmark Mette Frederiksen, Prime Minister of the Netherlands Dick Schoof, Prime Minister of Poland Donald Tusk, President of the European Council António Costa, President of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen, and Special Envoy of the President of the United States Steve Witkoff.

The participants noted the work carried out by the commanders-in-chief of the armies and the military on the practical framework. The leaders agreed that the time has come to move to the political framework.

It was also emphasized that the main security guarantee is a strong Ukrainian army. Special attention was paid to the contribution that each of the 35 countries is ready to make to ensure Ukraine's security on land, at sea, in the air, and in cyberspace.

“Steve Witkoff assured that the United States will also provide support on its part,” the President's Office said.

Presidents of Cyprus, Lithuania, and Romania joined the meeting online, along with the prime ministers of Australia, Albania, Bulgaria, the United Kingdom, Greece, Estonia, Ireland, Spain, Canada, Latvia, Luxembourg, New Zealand, Norway, Portugal, Slovenia, Croatia, the Czech Republic, Montenegro, Sweden, and Japan. Also participating online were the Federal Chancellor of Germany, the President of the Council of Ministers of Italy, the NATO Secretary General, the Vice President of Turkey, Austria's Federal Minister for European and International Affairs, and Iceland's Foreign Minister.

As Ukrinform reported, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky met in Paris with White House Special Envoy Steve Witkoff.
