Russian Army Carries Out 133 Strikes On Sumy Region In Past 24 Hours, Wounding Several People


(MENAFN- UkrinForm) According to Ukrinform, this information was reported by the Sumy Regional Military Administration on Telegram .

In the Sumy community, a woman born in 1973 was wounded as a result of a UAV strike.

"Unfortunately, a 35-year-old man from Poltava region, who was wounded by enemy shelling on August 26 in the Shostka district, died in the hospital. A man born in 1941 also sought medical help after being injured on September 1 as a result of a UAV strike on a private house in the Krasnopilia community," the regional administration reported.

According to the RMA, the most shelling was recorded in the Sumy and Shostka districts.

The Russian army actively used guided aerial bombs and dropped VOGs from UAVs. Almost 30 strikes by guided aerial bombs and almost 20 drops of VOGs from UAVs were recorded.

The Russian military also carried out strikes with ballistic missiles, UAVs, FPV drones, and MLRS on the territory of Sumy region.

Civilian infrastructure facilities were damaged and destroyed.

In the Seredyno-Buda community, apartment buildings and private houses were damaged.

In the Znob-Novgorodske community, a civilian infrastructure facility was damaged.

In addition, motor vehicles and a tractor were damaged in the Bilopilia community.

In the Sumy community, a private residential building and road infrastructure were damaged.

Over the past day, local authorities, together with units of the State Emergency Service, the National Police, and public organizations from border communities, evacuated five people.

As reported by Ukrinform, a Russian strike drone hit the central part of Sumy.
