KP Ends BS Program In Colleges, Introduces Associate Degree Program
The Higher Education Department of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has issued a notification announcing the termination of the BS program in government colleges across the province. Instead, an Associate Degree Program (ADP) will now be launched in 128 colleges.
According to the department, the decision was made due to low enrollment and a high dropout rate in the BS program.
Under the new policy, several subjects in 36 colleges have been declared unnecessary and discontinued, while 230 BS programs have been converted into Associate Degree Programs.
