Jordan, Saudi Arabia Discuss Closer Trade Ties Ahead Of Business Forum

Amman, Sept. 3 (Petra) -- Prime Minister Jafar Hassan on Wednesday met Hassan bin Mujab Al-Huwaizi, Chairman of the Federation of Saudi Chambers, to discuss strengthening economic, trade and investment cooperation between Jordan and Saudi Arabia.
The talks underscored the close ties between the two countries and the shared commitment of their leaderships to expand cooperation. Hassan highlighted the importance of sustained communication between the private sectors of both nations to create a supportive business environment, encourage joint initiatives and facilitate trade and investment flows.
The meeting came as Amman hosted the Jordan–Saudi Business Forum, organized by the Jordan Chamber of Commerce in cooperation with the Federation of Saudi Chambers. The forum aims to explore new avenues of collaboration between business leaders and investors from both sides.
Al-Huwaizi thanked Jordan for hosting the event and said Saudi businesses are keen to deepen cooperation with Jordan across various sectors. The Saudi delegation includes a large group of business leaders and investors, along with representatives from the Ministries of Economy, Industry and Investment, as well as the General Authority for Foreign Trade.
Minister of Industry, Trade and Supply, Yarub Qudah, also attended the meeting.
