Negotiations in Kyiv are expected to continue over the coming days.

The talks will focus on preparing the 2026 state budget, medium-term fiscal planning, financial sector issues, and other structural reforms.

“I am grateful to the International Monetary Fund for its support and expertise, which help strengthen Ukraine's economic and financial resilience. We look forward to a productive week of discussions with IMF experts. As previously reported, Ukraine has already received nine disbursements under the EFF program totaling approximately $10.6 billion out of the planned $15.5 billion for the 2023–2027 period.

Prime Minister Yuliia Svyrydenko stated that the government will likely seek additional funding from the IMF. With the current program set to conclude in 2027 and uncertainty surrounding the duration of the war, it is expected that a new plan will need to be discussed during the IMF's upcoming program review.
