In today's fast-paced information age, misinformation and disinformation spread rapidly, often targeting vulnerable groups such as migrants and refugees.

Across South and Southeast Asia, anti-migrant narratives, hate speech, and disinformation campaigns on social media are growing at an alarming rate. These not only endanger the safety of displaced people but also restrict their access to basic services and decent living conditions.

To address this challenge, DW Akademie and the International Organization for Migration (IOM) are inviting journalists from Bangladesh, Indonesia, Malaysia, Myanmar, Afghanistan, Pakistan, and Thailand to participate in a hands-on training course:“Beyond Borders – Reporting Forced Displacement and Migration in Asia.”
