Russia's Offensive Ongoing, Yet Their Resources Depleting, Military Spox Claims
“Absolutely, the Russians are not stopping yet, but on the other hand, we hope that their momentum will be exhausted closer to the beginning of autumn rather than its middle. For now, they continue their efforts, pushing forward even at the cost of casualties, but this cannot last too long, because over time the accumulating losses in their assault units make them combat ineffective,” Trehubov said.
He noted that Russian invaders are already showing signs of personnel shortages for active assault operations.
“This is a classic situation, because we also have issues in this regard, but we are fighting from defense, while they are attacking and should maintain a different ratio. So, for now, we are simply waiting until enough of their infantry is neutralized. I'm talking about infantry, because they are not actively using their equipment,” the spokesperson explained.
Trehubov added that a sufficient number of Russian infantry will likely be eliminated during the rainy season, when it becomes less convenient for them to attack.
