Amman, Aug. 27 (Petra) – The United Nations Public Service Forum 2025, held in Uzbekistan, honored Jordan in recognition of its achievements in advancing e-government services.
The Ministry of Digital Economy and Entrepreneurship said in a statement on Wednesday that Jordan advanced 11 positions globally between 2022 and 2024 on the United Nations E-Government Development Index (EGDI), ranking 89th compared with 100th in 2022. The ministry noted that this marks a significant improvement from 117th place in 2020.
The statement added that this progress reflects Jordan's efforts in expanding digital services, strengthening citizen engagement platforms, and implementing a comprehensive national digital transformation strategy.
Alongside Jordan, 11 other countries were recognized, including Germany, Mexico, South Africa, Turkey, and Uzbekistan.
Jordan's Ambassador to Tashkent, Dimay Haddad, received the certificate of honor on behalf of the Kingdom.
