Sara Dorow
My research is generally in the areas of migration and mobility, work and family, and community, wherein I adopt intersectional and transnational approaches using a range of qualitative methodologies. Specifically, I have conducted major research projects on work-life in Canada, social facets of oil sands development, and international child adoption. I have held numerous academici administrative roles at the University of Alberta: founding director of the Community Service-Learning program, Department Chair (Sociology), and now as director of the International Institute for Qualitative Methodology.
