Israel is to move forward with occupation plan on Gaza

Israel’s Defense Minister Israel Katz has authorized a new military operation targeting Gaza City, according to reports on Wednesday.

The plan, named *Gideon’s Chariots B*, takes its title from a previous ground assault, *Gideon’s Chariots*, launched in May with the objective of deepening Israel’s control over the enclave and displacing Palestinians from northern Gaza.

Reports indicated that “as part of the plan, the necessary reserve call-up orders will be issued to carry out the attack,” though the exact number of soldiers expected to participate was not disclosed.

Other outlets noted that emergency draft orders, referred to as *Order 8*, have already been distributed by the Israeli military, with tens of thousands of reservists anticipated to be mobilized in the coming days.
