UAE Citizen Passes Away In Makkah After Umrah, Days After Son's Fatal Accident

A UAE citizen, Abdul Majeed Abdulrahman Saeed Al Mulla, passed away in Makkah shortly after performing Umrah for his son, who had died in a car accident days earlier.

The funeral announcement was shared by the Instagram account @Janaza_UAE, stating that prayers will be held at the Grand Mosque (Masjid Al Haram) and burial will take place at Al Ma'la cemetery in Makkah.

The funeral announcement was shared by the Instagram account @Janaza_UAE, stating that prayers would be held at the Grand Mosque (Masjid Al Haram) and burial at Al Ma'la cemetery in Makkah.

Abdulla Hussain Almarzooqi, the founder of @Janaza_UAE, told Khaleej Times that the son who passed away was Al Mulla's only son among other sisters (although he did not specify the number of sisters.)

Within hours of the announcement, hundreds of people offered prayers and condolences online. Many who knew him personally remembered his kindness and good character.

On Instagram, user ummohammed_5_68_uae commented:“May God have mercy on him, forgive him, and grant him a place in his spacious gardens. He was a good man in his morals and good company."

Another user, amal10, wrote:“He – may God have mercy on him – was a wonderful man. We knew him to be kind-hearted, honest, dutiful to his family, brothers, friends, and colleagues. He loved goodness and had a cheerful face that knew nothing but affection and loyalty. His body has departed, but his fragrant memory remains with us, thanks to the beautiful legacy and good character he left behind.”

Others prayed for strength and patience for the grieving family, with many noting the blessing of passing away in the holiest of places. One message read:“May God have mercy on him, forgive his sins, accept him in a blessed land and in the holiest place on earth, and make his abode the highest paradise next to the prophets and the righteous.”
