Workshop On Bee Keeping Management
(MENAFN- Gulf Times) The Ministry of Municipality's Agricultural Affairs Department and Agricultural Research Department have organised a guidance programme titled 'Honeybee Hive Management', in cooperation with Mahaseel, a subsidiary of Hassad Food Company, and the Arab-Qatari Agricultural Production Company (Qatfa).
The event was attended by 22 engineers and beekeepers. Khalid Saif al-Suwaidi, a beekeeping specialist, covered the basics of beekeeping and hive management, methods for preventing bee diseases and pests, and the ways to improve honey production and marketing.
At the conclusion of the programme, the participants presented several proposals, including the importance of increasing training programmes, especially field-based ones, with a focus on practical aspects. Certificates of participation were also distributed to attendees.
