Russian Troops Significantly Increase Use Of Loitering Munitions In South
"In the southern sector, the enemy has significantly increased the number of loitering munition strikes over the past day. Over the past day, nearly 670 such strikes have been recorded, and we usually record about 400-450. In particular, there were 370 loitering munition strikes in the Kherson sector, and before that, there were 200-250," Voloshyn said.
However, according to the spokesman, the number of combat clashes in the area of responsibility of the Defense Forces of the south is slightly lower than in other areas of the front.
"In the same Dnipro and Kherson sectors, we have recorded six combat clashes, with the enemy continuing to try to take control of the island zone in the Dnipro delta. In the Zaporizhzhia sector, particularly in the Orikhiv area, there were three combat clashes. The enemy carried them out in an attempt to advance towards Novoandriivka," Voloshyn said.
He added that in the Huliaipole sector, the enemy also attempted to storm the village of Malynivka once. In addition, the enemy is actively using aviation in this sector, striking settlements located near the line of contact.
“The enemy is also regrouping its forces and equipment and amassing assault troops in forward positions to resume active assault operations in a few days,” the spokesman said.
