Russian Forces Launch Nearly 90 Attacks On Sumy Region In Past Day: 3 Dead, 19 Injured
In the Yunakivka community, three women-aged 66, 74, and 78-were killed when a Russian drone dropped an explosive device on a civilian bus. Nineteen other people were wounded in the attack.
In the Seredyna-Buda community, a man born in 1970 was injured in a separate drone strike involving an FPV drone.
The Sumy Regional Military Administration noted that from the morning of July 27 to the morning of July 28, Russian forces targeted 33 settlements across 14 territorial communities, launching close to 90 attacks in total. The highest concentration of strikes occurred in the Sumy and Shostka districts.

The Russian strikes also caused significant infrastructure damage across several communities in the Sumy region.
In the Putyvl community, two private homes and a non-residential building sustained damage. In the Hlukhiv community, strikes hit an administrative building as well as multiple non-residential structures.
The Sumy community saw extensive destruction: windows were shattered in two five-story residential buildings and a three-story residential building. Civilian infrastructure and a private residence were also damaged.
In addition, a bus was damaged in the Yunakivka community, while a car was hit in the Seredyna-Buda community.
As earlier reported by Ukrinform, one of the individuals wounded in the Russian drone strike on a bus in the Sumy region is in critical condition and currently undergoing surgery.
