Israeli Defense Minister Vows Renewed Strikes On Iran, Warns Khamenei Could Be Personally Targeted

(MENAFN- Khaama Press) Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz warned that Israel could resume powerful strikes on Iran, vowing its“long arm” might reach Tehran - and even Supreme Leader Ayatollah Khamenei.

Amid rapidly escalating tensions, Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz has threatened to resume strikes against Iran and even directly target its Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.

The warning came Sunday, July 27, during Katz's visit to Ramon Airbase in southern Israel.“If you continue to threaten Israel,” he declared,“our long arm will again, with even greater force, reach Tehran - and personally to you, Ali Khamenei.”

His comments follow a fierce 12‐day confrontation between Iran and Israel, triggered by Israeli airstrikes on Iranian military and nuclear facilities.

Tehran responded with rockets and drone attacks, while the conflict widened when the United States carried out strikes on three Iranian nuclear sites, describing the move as an effort to prevent further escalation.

Katz's sharp message signals that Israel is prepared to intensify military action and is willing to hold Iranian leadership personally accountable for ongoing threats.

Analysts warn the cycle of attacks and counterattacks risks pushing the region into deeper instability, with major powers now drawn closer into a confrontation that shows no signs of cooling.
