Turkish BMC reveals three new army land vehicles in IDEF
(MENAFN) Turkish defense manufacturer BMC has revealed three newly developed military land vehicles at the 2025 International Defense Industry Fair (IDEF), held in Istanbul.
“In the defense industry for land vehicles, we have introduced many firsts up to now, and we will continue. Indeed, at this fair, we unveiled three new vehicles for the first time,” said Fuat Tosyali, chairman of BMC’s board of directors.
According to reports, Tosyali emphasized BMC’s leadership in land vehicle exports within the Turkish defense sector. “As you know, we are the export champions in the defense industry in our country in terms of land vehicles,” he said, noting that the company debuted heavy-duty towing vehicles from the Turan and Zeybek series, as well as a platform fitted with the Altug 105-millimeter gun.
The 17th edition of the six-day defense fair began on Tuesday and is being held across several venues, including the Istanbul Fair Center, Ataturk Airport, Wow Hotel, and Atakoy Marina.
Backed by the Turkish Armed Forces Foundation and the Defense Industries Secretariat (SSB), and organized by KFA Fairs, the event features Anadolu as its global communication partner.
Tosyali also highlighted the unveiling of two domestically built engines produced by BMC Power. These power units, intended for naval platforms and the Firtina self-propelled howitzer, were introduced to the public for the first time at the fair.
