Amman, July 12 (Petra) – Jordan handed over the public encryption keys for the Jordanian electronic passport (e-passport) to the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) during a ceremony at the organization's headquarters in Montreal, Canada.
As part of national efforts to complete the e-passport project, Jordanian Ambassador to Canada Sabah Al Rafie represented the Kingdom during the ceremony for the presentation of the Issuing Authority Certification Certificate (CSCA) for the Jordanian e-passport to ICAO Electronic Certification Center, The Ministry of Digital Economy and Entrepreneurship said in a statement.
The ceremony was attended by ICAO Deputy Director of Aviation Security and Facilitation, Sylvain Lefoyer.
