Cameroon To Hold Presidential Election On Oct. 12
YAOUNDE: Cameroon will hold its presidential election on Oct. 12, according to a decree signed Friday by President Paul Biya.
Polling stations will open at 800 a.m. local time (GMT 0700) and close at 6:00 p.m. local time (GMT 1700), said the decree.
As outlined in the previously announced electoral calendar from Elections Cameroon, the election management body, candidates are required to submit their application documents by July 21. The final list of approved candidates will be released no later than Aug. 11.
The official election campaign period will run from Sept. 27 to Oct. 11.
