GCC Expresses Solidarity With Syria Following Forest Fires In Latakia
Riyadh: The Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) expressed its solidarity with Syria following the forest fires in the Latakia Governorate that led to damage and losses.
GCC Secretary-General Jassim Mohammed Al Budaiwi affirmed, in a statement issued Wednesday, the Council's support for Syria and its people in this difficult humanitarian situation, expressing his hope for recovery and safety for those affected and all citizens.
Al Budaiwi said he is sure that the Syrian people can overcome this incident and continue with the reconstruction and recovery process to achieve the country's aspiration for safety, stability, and prosperity.
