Linklaters enhances its Litigation, Arbitration & Investigations capability with on-ground presence in the Middle East

(MENAFN- Sandpiper) Dubai, 30 June 2025: Linklaters announced the expansion of its global Litigation, Arbitration & Investigations (LAI) practice in the Middle East with the launch of an on-ground presence in Dubai. This development bolsters the firm’s LAI offering, underscoring a strong commitment to provide support to clients in-region.

The Middle East practice will be led by LAI counsel Sean Cameron. Before joining Linklaters, Sean was the Head of Disputes & Litigation for NEOM Company.

With nearly 15 years’ experience across the Middle East, Asia-Pacific and Australia, Sean is a specialist legal advisor with a wealth of experience on complex disputes, in particular, project and construction disputes in the energy, infrastructure and major projects sectors. He has a strong track record of advising on all forms of dispute resolution, with a particular focus on high-value international arbitration, cross-border project disputes, and strategic risk management.

Partner and Global Head of Litigation, Arbitration & Investigations Alison Wilson commented:
“The launch of our on the ground LAI practice in the Middle East is a key development and highlights our commitment to supporting our clients’ needs with the best combination of our global and local insights. I am confident that Sean’s experience, skill and market knowledge will be invaluable to our clients and will complement the work already being done in the region by our Arbitration and Investigations partners from Asia, Europe and the UK.”

Partner and Asia Head of Litigation, Arbitration & Investigations Jelita Pandjaitan added:
“I am thrilled to have Sean on-board and look forward to working with him closely. Sean is a great asset to join our growing international arbitration team and will undoubtedly be instrumental in driving our platform’s continued growth and success in the region.”

Litigation, Arbitration & Investigations counsel Sean Cameron said:
“This is an exciting opportunity to grow the firm’s footprint in the Middle East, and I am looking forward to collaborating closely with the LAI, energy & infrastructure and other practices to support our global and regional clients.”

Sean’s arrival further strengthens Linklaters’ LAI platform in the Middle East and Asia which has been substantially enhanced with the elections of Andrew Battisson, Rebecca James and Sarah Hudson. Combining deep regional expertise anchored in Asia-Pacific, India and the Middle East with the strength of Linklaters’ integrated global platform, the Asia and Middle East regional practice delivers commercially focused, innovative dispute resolution strategies for clients facing complex, cross-border matters—ensuring tailored support and seamless coordination across key global markets.
