UN Agency, Kuwaiti Charity Agree Grant For Syrian Refugees In Jordan

KUWAIT, June 29 (KUNA) -- The United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees and Kuwait-based Sheikh Abdullah Al-Nouri charity signed on Sunday a grant agreement in aid of Syrian refugees in Jordan.
The agreement entails the delivery of pecuniary aid to some 346 Syrian refugee families residing in the Hashemite Kingdom, the UN refugee agency's representative in Kuwait Nesreen Rubaiaan said in a statement.
The signing of the agreement is a testament to the solid rapport between the UN refugee agency and the Kuwaiti charity, which aims to provide continued aid to Syrian refugees, the official underlined.
On the agreement, the Kuwaiti charity's chairman Jamal Al-Nouri said it was the latest joint initiative involving the two sides, with Syrian refugees being the ultimate benefecaries of all-inclusive humanitarian aid, he highlighted. (end)
