Trump Says Both Israel, Iran Wanted Ceasefire

(MENAFN) United States Leader Donald Trump stated on Tuesday that both Israel and Iran had been eager to bring an end to their ongoing war, while asserting that he was responsible for dismantling Iran’s nuclear capabilities before stopping the conflict.

"Both Israel and Iran wanted to stop the War, equally! It was my great honor to Destroy All Nuclear facilities & capability, and then, STOP THE WAR!" he wrote on Truth Social.

On June 13, Israel initiated airstrikes on multiple locations across Iran, including military and nuclear sites, accusing Tehran of nearing the development of a nuclear weapon, a claim that Iran strongly rejected.

In response, Iran launched missile and drone strikes, and the US entered the fray by bombing three Iranian nuclear facilities on Sunday.

After 12 days of intense fighting between the two nations, Trump declared a ceasefire between Israel and Iran on Monday night, effectively ending the hostilities.
