(MENAFN) On Thursday, Amazon India revealed plans to pour over INR 2,000 crore (around $233 million) into expanding and enhancing its operations across the country in 2025, according to media.

This capital injection is set to support infrastructure upgrades, employee welfare initiatives, and the adoption of advanced technological tools designed to accelerate delivery speed while ensuring greater safety and operational efficiency.

Amazon outlined that the investment will focus on launching new sites and upgrading existing facilities within its fulfillment, sortation, and delivery network.

Both new and current centers will incorporate energy-saving technologies and be designed with inclusivity in mind. Additionally, the company intends to roll out updates to its Driver app and introduce innovative solutions to improve safety monitoring and minimize delivery mistakes.

At present, Amazon’s network spans all serviceable pin codes across India. This move aligns with its broader strategy to refine logistics and enhance support for customers, employees, and vendor partners alike.
