Israel Strikes Central, Northern Gaza Massacre Toll 55,959


(MENAFN- Gulf Times) Five Palestinians were martyred and several others injured, including a young boy and girl, as Israeli occupation warplanes carried out multiple airstrikes Sunday targeting different areas in the central and northern parts of Gaza Strip.
According to Palestinian medical sources, the bodies of the martyrs were transferred to Al-Awda Hospital in Nuseirat. Al-Saftawi area in northern Gaza City was also subjected to Israeli shelling.
In another strike, Israeli warplanes targeted a public kitchen ("Takiya") where hundreds of civilians had gathered in Al-Mawasi area west of Khan Younis, in southern Gaza, resulting in multiple civilian injuries.
With these latest attacks, the number of martyrs in Gaza Sunday has risen to 29, including six people who were martyred while waiting to receive humanitarian aid.
Earlier Sunday, the Palestinian Ministry of Health in Gaza reported that the death toll from the Israeli aggression on Gaza Strip since October 7, 2023, has risen to 55,959, in addition to 131,242 injured.
The Israeli military said Sunday that it had recovered the bodies of three hostages in Gaza more than 20 months after they were abducted by Hamas fighters, AFP reported.
"In a special operation... the bodies of the hostages Ofra Keidar, Yonatan Samerano and Staff Sergeant Shay Levinson were recovered from the Gaza Strip," the military said in a statement.
