Iran Welcomes GCC Ministerial Statement Condemning Israeli Occupation's Aggression

(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) TEHRAN, June 17 (KUNA) -- Iran expressed appreciation on Tuesday for the statement issued by the emergency ministerial meeting of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), which condemned the Israeli occupation's aggression against Iranian sovereignty and territory, as well as its violations of international law and the UN Charter.
A spokesperson for the Iranian Foreign Ministry said the emergency meeting reflects a unified regional stance on the serious threat posed by the Israeli occupation's actions, and noted that the meeting highlights the urgency of taking coordinated regional and international measures to halt the ongoing attacks targeting Iran.
Tehran and several other Iranian cities have come under heavy assault by the Zionist entity since the Friday, prompting Iran to respond with a large-scale missile attack. (end)
