Community-Centred Initiatives Promote Cleanliness, Waste Segregation On Eid Al Adha
Doha, Qatar: In celebration of Eid Al-Adha, the Ministry of Municipality, represented by various municipalities, launched a series of entertainment and awareness activities aimed at promoting public cleanliness, proper waste segregation, food safety, and safe shopping practices.
These community-centred initiatives were part of the Ministry's ongoing efforts to raise awareness about municipal services and environmental sustainability.
As part of these celebrations, Al Khor and Al Thakhira Municipality held a special awareness and entertainment event for children at the City Market Center in Al Khor. The event successfully combined fun and education through interactive workshops, games, and competitions designed to engage young participants while instilling positive behavioral values.
The activities focused primarily on enhancing environmental awareness, encouraging children to adopt responsible habits related to public hygiene and waste sorting. Additionally, the program aimed to inform families about important practices in food safety and secure shopping, especially relevant during the busy holiday season. The interactive nature of the event created a lively and engaging atmosphere, where children not only enjoyed their time but also gained practical knowledge about everyday actions that contribute to a healthier and cleaner environment. Gift distributions and friendly competitions added a festive touch, drawing significant interest from the community and ensuring high participation.
The Ministry of Municipality emphasised that such initiatives are essential in nurturing a culture of civic responsibility and environmental consciousness among the younger generation. By merging entertainment with educational content, the Ministry seeks to embed long-term values that support sustainable community development.
These events reflect the Ministry's broader strategy to enhance public interaction and understanding of its services through creative and inclusive outreach programmes.
