Dusty Weather, Strong Winds Expected Over Weekend: QMD

Doha, Qatar: The Qatar Meteorology Department (QMD) has forecast the return of fresh to strong northwesterly winds starting Friday, May 16, and continuing into early next week.
In its latest weather update issued on Tuesday, the department said, "The return of northwesterly winds ranging from fresh to strong in speed is expected starting Friday, May 16, 2025, and continuing until the beginning of next week."
The QMD warned that the winds may lead to blowing dust and reduced horizontal visibility in some areas, particularly in open and exposed regions.
Marine conditions are also expected to be affected.
